Description
The Bridge across the water
It was not enough that the grass stood tall and represented a relaxing moment. A long bridge traversing this body of water to make sure that the structure of the bridge would resonate with the viewers. The mist was such a helpful factor in the rendering to portray the quality of the landscape as a good piece of art.
Process of creation
This version of the Bob Ross instructional video gave me the room to establish a style of my own. Which is always a pleasing moment for anyone to have and provides me with a sense of self determination and realization. Contrary to Bob’s piece, I felt the need for a stronger presence in the bridge. Also greener grass on both sides of the bridge would compliment it well.
Purpose
I think this is a chance for those who like my artwork to see what I wanted to show. A moment in to the sense of art in the woods I was hoping to find. I want there to be a moment for you to think you could be there. The person who bought this purchased it at the grocery store as I was painting it. She was immediately struck by the Olympic forest feeling and asked me to let her know when it was done and she would pick it up. That response made me feel so wonderful and I loved it.
